Cultural Assets

Within the Conservancy, four archaeological sites have been identified. They contain the ruins of stone-built graves and other buildings.

Archaeological work in this region is still in its infancy. Stone architecture could date back to the 11th century. Although the art of stone masonry was well known along the coast, the influence from Persia and Arabia can not be ruled out.
